...........................was amazing!

its all gone

My exhibition has all been taken down now, it seems a shame that it is over but it was good to have it up there for a while. If anyone didn't get a chance to see it, this photo gives you a small idea of how it finally looked. For everyone else that went - thankyou so much and I hope you enjoyed it!

Miss Snooty Boots

Monday, 22 June 2009

A while ago my Grandma sent me this photo with 'Recognise Miss Snooty Boots' written on the back, it is just the funniest thing ever! It is me at my christening with my Grandad, I completely love this photo, look at my little face, I do look snooty don't I?! I found it while tidying up a shelf that collapsed (don't ask!) yesterday and had to scan it to make sure that I have it forever, thought i'd share it as I think its priceless and think my Grandma is amazing for sending to me with Miss Snooty Boots on the back. All my grandparents are amazing, I hope I'm like them when I'm old!

I actually think that Miss Snooty Boots is a pretty cool nickname, I might adopt it and take all the credit!

Preview Night

Friday, 19 June 2009

Thankyou to everyone who came to the preview of Exposure37 last night. The evening went really really well. Everyones work looked amazing. Thanks to all my friends and family who came and said lovely things about me and thanks to my new friends Amy and Dominic for making my night by just being super! My Mum was in char
ge of taking photos of the evening for me, she did an excellent job and when I get the pics, I'll post them up here.

It is a huge relief to have finished everything, I am thrilled by how last night went, I even managed to sell a few books and am still buzzing today. The big
question now is:

What Next?!

Hopefully more clients and more freelance work, if anybody needs a photographer then please let me know.

Thanks again everyone for a fab night xxxx

ps. The exhibition is on for another week so if you are in Cambridge, please come along. I will be there on Saturday afternoon and Tuesday evening for my shift to look after everything.

Preview Tonight

Thursday, 18 June 2009

It is the preview of my degree show tonight, I put everything up yesterday, just got a few minor last minute touches to add later. It is looking pretty good, I am pleased with it. It is not how I imagined it, the curators had other ideas on arrangement of my images than I did and they won! But it looks good nonetheless. I am very excited, just need to finish work, get changed into my 'preview outfit(!)' and go. See you there.

Macedonia

Wednesday, 17 June 2009

I've been away to Macedonia the last week, it was an excellent trip, so different to anywhere else I have ever been.  It was incredibly hot, although the locals all told me that 36 (ish) degrees is nothing and it gets into the 40's!  I think I would just melt.  Here are a quick 2 shots from my point and shoot, the bottom one is the most tasty salad ever.  I am not even going to attempt to spell it but it has cucumber, tomato, onion and grated goats cheese - mmmmmm.

There should be more photos to follow but they are all on film so waiting to get to the developers.  Fingers crossed some come out!

Presents and Projects

This little package arrived on my doorstep an while ago from the very talented Will Bryant, we are doing a little collaborative project together and have swapped artwork.  He sent me this little lot and I sent him my book and print, what a lovely way to do business!

Have a look at his website, it is definatley worth it:
