New Notebook

Friday, 30 March 2012

Ooooo exciting no?!   Pretty spring flowers and pastel colours.  Available in my shop.  I also thought I'd show you a few examples of the different coloured pages that you could get.

I have also just posted off a selection to a very cool gallery/shop in Hackney:  KK outlet so if you are in the London area you'll be able to pick up one of these from there soon.  I think I have told you before that you can get them form the lovely Shipshape studios in Harrow and Cariad Gifts in Wales.  I am working on a few more stockists so watch this space.

Some sad news (not that drastic in the grand scheme of things don't worry) my hard drive died a few weeks ago and turns out that it is totally unrecoverable.  Very very very very sad.  I had backed up all of the important work stuff but there were a couple of folders of personal photos that I hadn't even had a chance to look through that have gone forever.  Taught me a valuable lesson though - ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS back up!  Even if it is not "work" stuff - you'll be sad if it goes.

New Things

Saturday, 24 March 2012

Just trying out a few new things.  Needs refining but so for I like!  Almost finished work for the day and am off out to enjoy the sunshine with a new film in my camera - on the hunt for lots of shadows and light, but then I always am I suppose.

Happy Weekend!

Friday, 23 March 2012

Enjoy the sunshine!  I'm working but at least I'll know its out there shining away.

ps. don't forget to turn the clocks back (actually its forward but 'back' is the expression!)  1 hour of extra daylight in the evenings is so so so welcome

21st of March = SPRING!!!

Wednesday, 21 March 2012

So, its officially the first day of Spring. Clocks go forward this weekend. I love this time of year, early evening sun here we come!!!!!!!  Have you any signs of Spring yet?  We have a few sprouts of green and the possibility of some blossom but thats all so far.  Last week in the Alps in the lower down villages there were some pretty yellow flowers starting to pop up under the chair lifts.  So pretty, it always amazes me that there is so much life just waiting under the snow to burst into life, even more amazingly is that It really doesn't take long.

ps.  Sorry about the 'pretty blosson' photos - I just can't resist!  I predict a few more before the season is done, I guess I'm more girly than I like to think I am!

Snowboarding

Monday, 19 March 2012

Back from the mountains, I have lots of films to develop and scan (should take a while) so in the mean time I thought I'd show you 2 postcards I picked up while I was away of the very fabulous olden-times French skiing outfits - they look like a stylish and happy bunch don't they?

Kristian

Wednesday, 7 March 2012

I've neglected you a bit havn't I blog?  Sorry about that - must try harder!  I've been busy doing lots of exciting jobs that I can't show you at the moment so instead I thought I show you Kristian, he is a personal trainer, doesn't he have good arms?!   I did this job a little while ago but I very rarely share my commercial stuff on here - I don't really know why.  I may start doing it a bit more, what do you think?

Papergirls and Murder Mystery Parties

Monday, 5 March 2012

Papergirls is coming to the UK, Birmingham to be exact.  This is such a great project where people send in Art and then it gets FREELY distributed by bicycles to whoever is lucky enough to be hanging around on the streets that particular day.  I've sent them some stuff so I hope the person that picks up the roll with my pieces in likes them!  Its such a good way to make art more accessible and fun.  If you are interesting in submitting some work to the project then visit their website for more info, you've got until the end of the month:

This weekend was such a good one, I had a photo shoot in the morning on Saturday for a bikini line which was great (more about that another day) and then we dashed up to Lincolnshire for a Murder Mystery party.  I've never been to one of those before so had no idea what to expect.  The only thing that I knew was that I had to be the murderer!  I found this out about 3 weeks ago and have had to keep it quiet for all this time (very hard for me to do) but it was worth it, so much fun and I didn't give the game away!

I was a bit scared that I'd get nervous and drunk and then spill the beans but I managed to fool most of the party!  Woohoo!!!!

Recording Studio

Friday, 2 March 2012

This time last week I was in a recording studio documenting the making of a track.  Can't say much more than that apart from it was AMAZING!  I even spotted and had a chat to a few famous faces, which was a bit more exciting that what I was up to today:

Spent the entire day tidying my studio (ahem, spare room), I guess it can't be exciting all of the time can it?!
