March last year

In March we went snowboarding in France 2 of my favourite words! Inspired by Hilda Grahnat's look back

February last year

In February, I made a cloud wall in the kitchen, its kind of peeling off now and needs re-sticking! Inspired by Hilda Grahnat's look back

January Last year

Inspired by Hilda Grahnat's blog I am going to look back on what we got up to last year. So in Jan, among other things, I had some pretty grainy film in my camera! I think this particular film is a bit too grainy for me (and I do usually love grain) but eh, you learn. So this is my January - enjoy! Feb soon, this whole think might take a while, I have a very badly organised archive

114 miles week 69

Tuesday, 21 December 2010

This weeks 114 miles. I am on the left and Ian is on the right. More here:

I read a blog by a photographer called Hilda Grahnat, I really love her photos and at the mo, she is recapping her year in pictures, I think it is such a lovely idea to go back and remember what you were up to in the last year. This time last year I just posted a few of my favourite photos from the year before but this year I am going to take inspiration from Hilda (I hope you don't mind) and am going to post a few from each month. January to come soon when I have sorted through my archives!

Hi Emma and Neil look at you!

New Look

How do you like my new look? I love the bigger pictures, I was getting frustrated when I could see all the lovely blogs with giant pictures and couldn't figure it out. Until i actually made the effort to google the answer and here you go BIG PICTURES and it wan't even that hard to do!

I have not uploaded any images from 114 miles for ages so here are the ones I have forgotten to do. To see who's is who's (if you can't guess) go over to mine and Ian's blog to find out everything that you would possibly want to know ever!

Prettiest Cows in the World

Friday, 10 December 2010

We found these Alpine cows on a mountain plain in a meadow high up in the mountains around Lake Garda, they just have the prettiest little faces. I also love the cow bells they wear around their necks it is such a beautiful sound to hear ringing around the mountain tops. Although if I were the cow wearing the bell, I think I'd get a bit annoying when it went jingling every time I move anywhere!

What is England - Urban

Tuesday, 7 December 2010

This is my image for the 'Urban' category on the What is England site. As usual there are some really really good shots, my favourite are:
Tom Morris - North Yorkshire,
David Ryle - Lincolnshire,
Jonathan Cherry - West Midlands,
Oli Kellett - Northamptonshire,
Tracey Fahy - Bedfordshire,
Vicky Slater - Wiltshire and
Ryan Stamatiades - Berkshire. I am aware this is a big list but there are loads of goodies!

Go and have a look at the website and let me know what you think

Looking into windows 2

Wednesday, 1 December 2010

Oh, and no - I am not a peeping Tom! And yes the last one isn't strictly following the rules but I made them up so I get to break them

Looking into windows

I found these photos on my computer of a project that I started a while ago (and looking at the photos it was about this time last year!) which I really want to build on and complete one day. As you can see its about looking into other peoples windows. They can be shop windows, offices or homes, any window will do. I am not sure what draws me to these types of images but I am fascinated by the actual window sills, and how they are personalised and also the reflections. I think that it is this that I am more interested in than what is actually going on behind the windows, although the little glimpse into other peoples' worlds is fascinating too.

More coming tomorrow
